And I just bought two 1TB drives for not much less than this within the last two months! Great deal. Too bad I can't afford to purchase more storage right now.

Great prices on great drives.
Unfortunately, Seagate just lowered their warranty period on most of their internal OEM drives down to the industry standard of three years. I wonder why. In my experience, drives generally fail fairly quickly (within the first year or two), or last well beyond the warranty period. Except the old Quantum (which was acquired by Maxtor, which was acquired by Seagate) Bigfoot drives, which seemed to be programmed to fail 24 hours after the warranty expired. It seems Seagate gave up a big marketing plus. All things being equal, I’d go with the drive with the longer warranty. Story link.
