I haven't seen many serious discounts on the new Acer Timeline series. This one from Staples is $150 off of the Acer AS4810-8480 upgraded configuration making it $550. It has the faster SU3500 cpu, 4G of ram, 320G HD. At 4.2 lbs, it's very light for a 14" with DVD. They claim 8 hours of battery life, but none of the reviews substantiate this.

It should qualify for the Windows 7 upgrade. Staples also has a printer discount when purchased with a PC or laptop.
