I didn't now they still had 3 virgins left in New York.
 I am out in Southern Cali. They seem to get them on Tuesday and Thursday between 11:00am and 1:00pm. BazzX |

I just got my blue today. Its a student blue, though. Will it still work? I went to the website and there are all these things to sign up for, like coolblue rewards and stuff like that. Did you guys have to sign up for any of that stuff or did you just use the blue out of the envelope to get the 30%?

I live in Maryland, there is no Virgin store around here.. I really would like to get a PS2 with 2nd controllor, memory card and GT3.

They must be getting tons of calls on systems. I called them to ask about Xbox and they tell me "We're sold out of them. We're also sold out of PS2 and Gamecube, and No we don't know when the next shipment is." heh

As much as it pains me to give out this information (as I am really internally struggling with NOT buying a PS2 despite the fact I hate Sony, I really can't think of more than 5 games for the PS2 I want right now, and I have a shiny new Gamecube I really like that needs to be broken in-- and I know the systems will be gone in 5 minutes after I post this!
 , I was just at Virgin Hollywood (on Sunset) and they had about 10 PS2's and about 10-20 Gamecubes in stock, waiting to be bought. I didn't see any XBoxes but I didn't ask.GO GO GO!! (I think I just need to realise the PS2 price will probably drop right after the first of the year and by then some more stuff I want will be out... patience, grasshopper. |

I shudder to think of the stampede, right now, lol. TOo bad I really despise the gamecube and I just picked up a PS2(although not opening it...thinking i would return it if I could get an Xbox by the end of the Amex blue sale).

Just got back from Virgin on Sunset in Hollywood. They have Final Fantasy X in stock. THere is a "Limit of 5" sticker on them. Who would buy more than five? Is it going to be that popular? At any rate, they had what appeared to be about 50 PS2s in stock. No Gamecubes or Xboxes to be found.

It might be considered "immoral" but I went to the Sacramento Virgin, bought a PS2 scatched off the virgin upc sticker, then went to Walmart and exchanged it for a Xbox. Before you even start, it's not like Walmart is going to lose money, because they will just sell the PS2 for the same price as the Xbox they gave me.

Virgin mega store on 12/26 will allow you to use the 30% amex blue(which expires that day) and special coupon books for the same purchase. That means $25 off a $100 and 30% on top of that.. On Wed that means Playstation2=$300 -30%=$210-25=$185! If anyone goes to the NYC store I would be willing to give you my two coupon books sans $25(over $175 in coupons including 3 $25 off $100 coupons) if you help me buy three video games which I will provide you cash for on Wed.. Yes it worked. It would be possible on games too. THEY MUST BE UNOPENED! Just say it was a gift. Walmart is the only store I know of that will do an excange with no receipt. I would not want to be in the return line at Walmart on the 26th, so if your going to do it, do it today!!!

I bought the PS2 at sacramento Virgin, but did the exchange in my hometown of Modesto. They asked me only the reason, and I told them it was a gift from someone, but that I'd rather have the Xbox. She said ok, scanned the PS2, then The Xbox, printed out a receipt, and away I went.

Can anyone confirm stacking the 25 off 100 and the 30% off in the LA area?
I asked the VMS on Sunset in LA, a manager said, they wouldn't allow it.
