That Home Depot Deal Today..Forget It!

I went to my local Home Depot today and the only thing I saw were 40% off banners all over the place.
I asked about the 60% off deal for today only. The woman said that deal is for a limited number of items: certain wood flooring, plumbing, etc. and that you won't know what is discounted till you take it to the register. Don't waste your time!

60% was clearly marked at our local store. Loads of windows, storm doors, light fixtures, fireplaces and accessories were all 60% off. Pretty sweet!!!

I actually bought about $700 worth of stuff while it was 40% off. Actually, it was %40 off the sale price, so I got cans of paint, normally $25.00, for $9.00. I bought a gas log for my fireplace, a baseboard heater, a bathroom vanity... I went crazy. The best deal was a special order return of laminate flooring that I found at one of the stores (there are two locally). I bought the whole pallet for less than half price.

I've got home improvement projects now that will keep me busy for the next year!

There was a 60% off dremel there at the Torrance, CA home depot. Just got back from there.

Just spent $200 there. Behr ultra white ceiling paint, good for walls, 2 gal buckets normally $37.99, $17 each. Behr paint, one of the best, is normally $20 just for 1 gallon. 60% off lighting and accessories. Double packs of 14 watt compact flourescent bulbs, normally $9.99, was rung up at $3.97. That't like $2 each, so I bought a case for my building.

Just saw Home Depot's ad in the Sunday paper. It said 60% off selected items. It apears here in NY is different than the west coast.
