I'm leaning towards the Everglide, but a 3M would be acceptable, but since these mousepads are so popular I figure there's gotta be a deal somewhere.

Hmm, Whats your take. Do you like the 3M pad better, or the Everglide?

i've only heard about everglides, but I like my 3m; only wish it'd last longer....maybe you should get a ratpad?

I have an everglide...got em for free...but also check out ratpadz.com from the hardware monkey kyle over at hardocp.com. These pads are huge...and there are many good reviews.

I use the 3m and the everglide

the 3m wears out faster, and scratches like crazy

I would recommend both but more so to the everglide

I've used both pads. I prefer the everglide over the 3m but I have not had any problems with the pad wearing out. I've used the 3m pad for about a year now too. Guess it just depends how you treat your stuff.

for the money you spend on those mousepads (around 10bucks or so) you can just find some coupons and buy the MICROSOFT intellimouse EXPLORER.... the best mouse i ever used, and wont be changing unless they got a newer model... =)

Thumbs up

I've used both the 3M and the Everglide and would highly recommend spending the extra for the Everglide.

Since I used to work for FalconNW, I used their Attackpad from Everglide. The surface was fine, but I really didn't like the curvature. It may make for quicked wrist-movements, but it gave me a mild case of tendonitis. If you want, I'll give it to you if you pay shipping and spot me a few bucks.

I have a 3M with a Gel wristpad, the model is a WR511. It has lasted 3 years with no problems. The wrist pad is nice because it is adjustable to provide different angles and heights in order to reduce CTS.

Thanks Bires, But I think I'll just buy a new one. Everglide it is. Oh, and I have both the intellimouse explorer and the intellimouse with intellieye. (both optical mice) I hate them both. There is nothing like the smoothness of a ball mouse. If you start doing any rapid actions with those optical mice they get confused. Horrible for game playing. When I switched back to a nomal mouse my gameplay noticeable improved, with a good mouse pad I hope to see even more. Thanks for all the tips.

I also found that the increase in height from the everglide was a little irritating after extended usage. Maybe I am online a little too much--if you add up at home, and at work I am on at least 12 hours a day.
