Red face "FREE" DVP-NS325/S Sony DVD Player

Saw this after signing off my e-mail on Yahoo. Below is just copy/paste of the LINK

It's easy! Here's all you need to do:
Just apply for a Citibank Regular Checking account - it will only take you a few minutes.

01. Fund the account with $1,500.
02. Pay 2 bills at www.citibankonline.com within 60 days of funding the account - remember bill pay is FREE at Citibank Online.
03. Get a FREE Sony DVD Player.

I guess you have to have a min of 1500 in you account all the time or they charge you.

its not a bad deal but if u ask me, I'll spend 70~80 buks and get one instead of blocking my 1500.

it definitely is a lot of work with dvd players getting so cheap....

however, if you were looking for a new bank...this could be worth it.

just so everyone knows, i did this for the 150 that was offered a while back. they dont tell you that the three months you have to keep the money in citibank starts after you complete ALL the requirements, bill pay etc. really turned out to be a pain for me.turned out they had my money for over 5 months

looks like a good investment for a permanent bank. i noticed several citibanks starting to show up here in the san gabriel valley. did they always have branches here in CA or were they primarily other states?

I got one of those locally for ~$90 and it's a nice unit. I have no real beefs with it, and it plays DVD+R/DVD+RW like a champ.
