was this check in an envelope or a typical rebate check in the form of a postcard.
I'm very afraid that they'll ship the check as a postcard...which ain't smart when it says $200 on it. I WANT MY MONEY! |

My co-workers sent in the 2 $100 rebate and got their a while back. I have not seen it yet and I sent in the $200 rebate before them. I called and they said that it is coming soon. Lets see.

Got and cashed my check -- shortly after I RMA'd the drive I received. The first drive died in just a few month. It spun up, made a clicking sound, spun up some more, clicked more, etc., and was no longer recognized by my hardware or software, regardless of the ide port or controller I connected it to. Fortunately, the RMA process at WD is relatively quick and painless, although I did need to pay for shipping to return the dead drive. Also, I was lucky that I only use the drive for video capture and editing and I didn't lose any data.

I just wanted to shout out that I too got my $200 Rebate Check back yesterday from WD!!!
They rock! Now I can really say I only pay about $22 for a 200gigs WD hard drive! Master-Q |
