The Office Depot Epson Printer Deal from the Front Page

I sent the following message to Lights and decided to share with you guys...

Quote:

I don't think that the C84 printer qualifies as a "Photo Printer" (even though it can make photo quality prints...)

It definitely doesn't qualify as a "All in One" printer...

So what I did was... I got the R200 printer from Office Depot (although online, they have already run out). It doesn't qualify for the $20 Stylus printer rebate, but it does qualify for the $50 Photo Printer rebate.

Pretty much the price on it was $98.78, so I had to add another $1.50 item to be able to use my $15 off $100 coupon in the B&M store... (the online codes aren't accepted in store... so you gotta have the paper coupon)

Pretty much $100 - $50 - $15 makes for a sweet printer at $35... which can also print on Inkjet lable CDs/DVDs....

If you have a local OD store with these in stock, I'd suggest that you jump on them. The R200 Epson Printer does qualify (verified) for the $50 Epson rebate, however it has been "discontinued" online, therefore you will only be able to find it in-store locally.

Last week, OD put out a mailer with a $15 off $100 coupon in it. If you have that mailer, you can drop the price down to $85 (after you put another $1.50 in stuff with it to qualify for the coupon) and then get $50 back in MIR.

Good luck to everyone who can get in on this. I know I'm happy that I did... and now I can put fancy labels on my direct print inkjet ready DVD -Rs.

A friend called Office Depot's Fulfillment House (The Express Group) and was told that the C84 Epson is eligible for the $50 MIR.

Well good luck then...

Personally, I didn't need another printer... but I did need one that could print directly onto CDs/DVDs... and for about the same price (minus the $20 Stylus rebate of course) the R200 fit the bill.

Anyways... good luck with this. And just keep your fingers crossed that the folks your friend talked to know what the hell they're talkin' about. (My initial assumption was that the C84 printer was listed in the "inkjet section" rather than the "photo printer section" on the OD website... which brought the initial question to the deal... It's definitely a sweet deal if it goes through (of course there are a bunch of folks who'll gripe if it doesn't).

If you are really wondering about it... why not go or CALL Office Depot at your local store and ask them if the rebate prints out with the purchase of a C84 printer...

The R200 printer I bought automatically printed the rebate at the register (even though I had a copy I got off of the website).

If they say that it doesn't print at the register... then most likely, it won't go through if you buy online.

Just my suggestion for those who are really unsure about this.

C84 Deal has been VERIFIED. I called 800-954-0606 and asked her about promotion OD1600009, said I had the UPC code, gave it to her (found through Shoppings link above), and she told me that OD added that UPC to the list of valid UPC's for that offer. She said it wasn't originally there, but that they did call back to add it to the list of acceptable codes.

Have fun everyone! I am already in for mine...and a R200, and a 7260

BTW - a better link to the $20 Epson Rebate (The one from OD prints bad...)

As far as inks go...

On the R200... it uses 6 separate cartridges: Black, Yellow, Cyan, Light Cyan, Magenta, Light Magenta.

Retail on these are: Black ($17.99) All Others ($12.99), However Office Depot sells them for: Black ($16.94) All Others ($11.97) which would total about $76 if you bought them all at once...

Well guess what? Office Depot has a $20 of $75 purchase coupon (code: 32451881) running right now through June 30, 2004... so with that I was able to get a full set of inks for $56 plus tax. Which was one hell of a deal!
