Best Buy GC From Parago?

Hey Apexers!

So I got an unexpected treat in the mail today. A Best Buy gift card from a company called Parago. The envelope only contained the gift card and a slip of paper reading "Thank you for being a valued customer".

Far be it from me to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I have no idea of how I got this. A Google search shows them being a marketing firm, but I don't recall ever hearing of them before. The only thing I could figure is that this was a deal that was posted here at some point.

Did anyone else get one of these?

Parago is one of the largest rebate processors out there.

Is that the one where you had to go to the website and pretend you were a company interested in their crap and request more details for the free GC?

That's what I was thinking. If it was I'm sure someone else here would have received one too.

My other thought was it might be from when I recently picked up the WinXP Home Upgrade from BB. I thought it came with a $50 cash rebate, but it may have been a GC offer.

Heh, well either way, I'm going shopping this afternoon.

I also, just yesterday, got a $10 card from a company called encompass.com that I had no idea why it came. I called them and found out it was a gift card for the rewards program for American Express. I cancelled AE months ago, I forgot about the rewards.
