This is my very first post. I just have one quick question. I just ordered the intel or840 motherboard. I also ordered the Samsung rdram pc800 128mb. My question is...Do i need two of them or will just one work?


At maximumpc.com the dream machine 2k seems to imply that I need to buy two of them.

You HAVE TO have 2 RIMMs because the OR840 has dual memory channels. The RIMMs must be identical - same size and speed. You HAVE TO have to.

thanks for your help on the intel or840, so i called back the company and ordered another 128mb samsung rdram. So now I have a total of two chips 256mb ram.
