which company provides better service for high-speed internet? they have the same deal: $30/month for 6 months, free installation, and same price of $45/month after 6 month intro period.
thanks!

$30/mo for 6 months? here in south jersey theres only comcast, but there's an offer for $19.99/mo for 6 months. make sure you mention that offer to get it.
then goes to $42.95/mo (+$3 if youre renting the modem).

earlier this year TW had a 19.99 for 6 months, 45.99 afterward deal. I just cancelled my account cause the 6 months had passed(I'm so proud of myself for cancelling on time. With these kind of deals, I usually forget and end up paying 2 months of the full charge). In the meantime, I'm using my school network, but I'm always looking out for more of these deals. I'll post if I find something.

best deal might actually be Verizon FiOS in the area if it's available.

Just curious. Is it possible to have DSL without an active phone line? I'm only using my cell phone as of now.

yes, it is. i'm using verizon dry-loop dsl. they give you a temporary phone number when you sign up, but you don't need a dial-tone. without a contract for 3MBps, i pay $45/month or something i think. it's cheaper if you have a contract.
btw, my friend opted for roadrunner cable. not many options. ![]() |
