New iPod's capacity?
I'd like to get some outlooks on the next generation iPod. Honestly I couldn't care less about the video features or the speculated touch screen. I'm just curious about the hard drive capacity. From what I know the iPod capacity is highly dependant on the latest 2.5" HDD technology at the time of development. I'm guessing it's gonna be 80GB this time around, but 100 GBs would be perfect for my music collection. Am I asking for too much?
And while we're at it, iPod haters, give me you're recommendations for alternatives. |

I think you are. As far as I've heard (from appleinsider), there might be some bumps in the video ipod lineup, but the focus is on the 8gb nano. This is partially due to the fact that the video ipod is supposed to be replaced by the true video ipod (one large screen) but Apple is having issues bringing it out. If you're looking to buy one and are playing the waiting game, you might be out of luck. There's WWDC in August where Apple will announce Leopard and potentially other products, but some analysts have indicated that Apple never uses a WWDC to introduce an ipod product. |
