Q. Wireless usb Print server to control USB web cam?

would it be possable to use a wireless USB print server to control a USB web cam?
I want to set up a wireless camera in my barn about 600 ft away from my house.

what is the bst way to do that.
could i use a wireless print server to control my existing USB web cam?

A wireless print server is only for use with a printer.

I highly doubt that a web cam would work with it.

what would the differance be, it is a usb device just like a printer. the box doesnt know if it is a CAnnon or a lexmark printer.

Then why wouldn't it just be called a "wireless USB server"?

It's a wireless PRINT server. I'm sure that there is a more detailed explaination out there though.

For what you are talking about, take a look at these:

More or less the software that comes with a print server generally knows to look for "printer drivers" and whatnot. Maybe you can hack it to use a USB camera, however I seriously doubt it will have that capability out of the box.
