Looking for a camera

Fast start up and fast shutter speed so that you can take shots faster (to catch the kids in action). Should be compact and able to take good low light pics. I know I'm asking a lot. I have the Olympus c-60 which is great but is a little slow loading in between pics.

If you can give me some suggestions I'd appreciate it.

CANNON SD-500 or SD-550 is my recomendation it even has a mode for kids and pets (i keep mine on this setting most of the time) and it also takes good pictures at night and in low light. Easy to use and as small as a pack of smokes

Well if you don't want a DSLR which will be your best bet to reduce shutter lag, take a look at Fuji F10. It takes great lowlight shots without flash. It takes great pictures.
