Recommend a good LCD monitor

I usually enjoy doing research to find the best deals, but my friend needs an urgent recommendation by tomorrow, so I'm asking you guys for some first-hand tips. Can somebody recommend a good analog LCD monitor (17"+) for around $150? This friend will be doing some basic CG work, so quality should come before size.

That'll fit your size and price recommendation. I have this one, and for me, the quality is just fine. I will, however, mention that I'm also not the biggest expert on quality, so you might want to get a second opinion
