Video Card question
Is adding a video card, even like a geforce4 440mx, to a system that has no video card going to be an improvement? Thanks!

Well, it depends on what currently is in there. Most computers have half decent built in chips. Great for surfing the web, watching a DVD, playing an old computer game, etc. I'd say the average midrange computer built today would be noticeably improved by a 6200 series geforce card.

Also, what are you looking to do? Mostly you need a card to play video games or watch media.

i say on most of todays computers the geforce4 440mx would be sub par . to what is coming as built in on new mother boards .as of the last 12 months anyway . and most newer boards are coming with a PCI Express socket .not a agp video card socket .

just media and some image editing. The computer has an Intel 82865G graphics controller. So would that MX card be better. Or what would be the weakest Geforce card that I could put in that would be better? Thanks!
