Question

I got a question - what will be the best for the money MP3 CD player out there?
There's Tavarua, NAPA CD VCD player 309/ 310, Memorex at Amazon, Phillips...
anything else?
I had to return TWO napa 309s back to the vendor because of the extremely poor quality and both broke in a day.
So if you know anything or have some experience please let me know
Thanx

Classic from Circuit City

Has ID3 tag display, up to 320 bitrate support and only costs $100. The ID3 and 320 are not mentioned on the packaging but it does support both.

I've heard that at this stage the MP3 CD players still aren't too good.

General crappiness of MP3 CD players

The sound quality itself isn't bad, compared to your average Discman. I believe there's at least one that displays ID3 tags.

Anyhow, the problem I have with my Genica (Taruva or whatever the heck CompGeeks is calling them these days) is the crummy casing. I love the player, but the case is actually falling apart physically. If you have the Genica (or seen a picture of it)... its got a small see-through window on top of the player, where you can see the CD inside spinning. Anywhos, the cover for that whole fell out. I've used some masking tape on it, and now it just reminds me of the stereotypical taped-glasses of the stereotypical 80's nerd.

Waz going to wait

But the classic has options for cheap...

New standards appearing meaning real names after march (Sony, JVC in JAN)

But I got a classic, which is solid, yet is definatley not cased in sleek magnesium....

It is comparable to the GPX brand construction, and will most likely stay nice unless one breaks it.

So far so good, 10 second read at begining, and thats only prob ive had so far... No skipping at all, yet.
