ASUS to Enter Sound Card Market
It is not a large market (as a percent of PCs- most people are like me using onboard sound chips).

This might be a good move by Asus as HTPCs become more common.

Finally someone taking advantage of the PCI Express x1 connector (I know a few RAID controllers use it, but that's all I've really seen).
Also, those specs sure sound pretty good (pun intentional) -- hopefully the audio coming out of said card is just as good. I wouldn't mind ditching Creative Labs due to horrible drivers.
