Alright, as usual, the bastards @ compaq arent much of a help. First off, i wanted to upgrade my RAM. I check the manual to see what type i need PC100, 133, etc. The manual says to go online to find out. I go to the specified compaq website, and it didnt have the info. I call techical support, give them my model # and the guy says all he knows is that its SYNCDRAM, and gives me the part # i need (30887-001). I ask him what type i need, and he says he has no idea.
I checked a few websites to try to find out what type i need, including info & benchmark sites. I couldnt find anything, so i was wondering if i could get some help on this. Can i find out thru windows, or find out thru a benchmark prog? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx! |

I was just wondering, before I go to buy this memory, it seems rather cheap.
64MB SDRAM, PC100 CL=2 Non-parity CT166042 $28.89 128MB SDRAM, PC100 CL=2 Non-parity CT166045 $56.09 ____________________________________________________________ http://www.crucial.com/index.asp?mod...5461&x=20&y=10 ____________________________________________________________ Is it a really good deal, or is this not of the best quality? Just wanted to make sure b4 i buy it. thanx ![]() |
