With all the various coupons and bargins out there
I could get 3dfx V5 5500 for $125 or Hercules GForce 2MX for $99 I am more into Flight Sims and Racing and from what I have read, the 3dfx has better image quality but the gforce will have better frame rate. Any opinions?? |

Voodoo 5 has a better implementation of fsaa. This cleans up the jaggies and texture shimmering.
GeForce 2 MX is good up to 800x600 in 32bit color. It then starts running out of bandwidth. If your going to play flight sims and racing games with fsaa on then Voodoo 5 is the card to get. If not $ave yourself money and get the GeForce2 MX. Personally I'd go with Voodoo 5 in this case. |

I agree with sbp. If your sys is fast enough so the gaming experience is smooth, go with V5 in your case.
