hi guys..
well, its christmas time and i am in the process of building a new pc. Can someone give me some input as to what soundcard i should buy? my one good friend told me to get a soundblaster live, but when i went to look for one, there was like 10 different kinds!!?! any idea which one i should purchase? Pretty much, i would just like to hear peoples recommendations as to what is the best soundcard available. Thanks for info... |

I went for the Live Mp3+ (or Gamer, same card) because of the digital out, so i could connect it to my Reciever.

I'm just pissed off to hell now cause they released the 5.1 cards
 Its the same exact card, and i bet you could get 5.1 decoding with a simple firmware upgrade but in their best intrest they're keeping them separate. I wonder what would happen if i flashed mine with 5.1 firmware (not that i'm going to do it  ) |

 I thought you could flash upgrade the card but i can't find any firmware upgrades. I'm i going crazy??? |
