I've got an ARM laptop and, as far as they'll tell me, I'll have to box it up and ship it to them in CA if I want to upgrade my RAM. My question is, how can I find out for myself what kind of RAM it takes? Is it really proprietary, or can I just buy some and install it myself?
I know, this is probably a stupid newbie question, but I'm not really familiar with hardware, I'm much more of a software kind of person, you know? Thanks! |

You might want to try access micro or even tigerdirect. They will probably be able to tell you if their notebook memory is compatible. I've never heard of ARM, or maybe I'm just crazy. Where did you purchase the notebook?

ARM is a small company in CA that sells laptops, mostly over the internet. I went with them because they gave me a great deal. The hardware's been great (they bumped me up from a 4 Gig HD to a 10!) The customer service, however, sucks.
