At least some of those, who have purchased the Apple iPhone device now complain about the dead-zones on their screens, something, which crucially affects their functionality.

Apparently, certain parts of Apple iPhone’s screens’ lose their sensitivity over time, which means that the whole device becomes virtually malfunction. Theoretically, this should not be considered as a problem, as there are similar devices, personal digital assistants or smartphones, which use touch-screens without any issues.

"The bottom of my screen lost sensitivity after only about 20 days of use. First the very bottom of the screen went out so I could not hit the space-bar on the keyboard, or change to the number/character screen. Then it got worse a few days later, now I cannot hit any of the main function button,” a user is reported to have said in Apple’s support forums.

Apple, according to the reports, exchanges the faulty parts with no questions asked. On the other hand, Apple is known for the devices that have no problems.

Apple iPhone is equipped with touch-screen instead of keypad, something never before available on handhelds. Besides, Apple iPhone includes support for quad-band GSM, EDGE, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR wireless technologies. The iPhone features a 2 megapixel (2MP) camera and a photo management application. The iPhone, however, is not small: it features a 3.5” screen that makes the device a relatively bulky. Nevertheless, since the phone is pretty slim, it should be comfortable to use. Apple iPhone us available in 4GB and 8GB versions that cost $499 and $599, respectively.
