hello everyone...hope you are all having a good holiday. Quick question...here is what i purchased recently:
K7-raid motherboard, athlon 1gig processor, and a processor fan. Can someone tell me what else i need to cool my system? Do i need more fans and such? If so, any recommendations? I also go 256ram, sb live, voodoo5, etc.
I just need to get a tower and maybe fans...depending on what you all think. Thanks! (if you also have any recommendations on cases, that would be great!)

Well, assuming the by processor fan you mean the heatsink/fan combo, you shouldn't need an other cooling devices per se. However, if you plan on overclocking your CPU, you will need some case fans to circulate cool air through your system and to exhaust warmer air. I don't know how much you plan on spending on a case, some of the best towers you can get for cooling are the Cyclone 5000 and the Tornado 2000. In your case, you should have a 300 Watt power supply, so these bad boys will set you back $160 and over $200 respectively. If you just want to get a regular case and add the fans yourself, Virtual Hideout (among other places) features some articles and HOW-TOs on case cooling and modifications.

Red face

$230 for the Tornado 2000 w/ 300watt Power Supply. Seems rather expensive for an InWin IW-Q500 case with 4 80mm case fans. I could do it cheaper myself. Oh yeah I already did.

I usually buy my cases from http://www.circotech.com. They're a little expensive, but I like their cases.
