help with my logitech mx900

so my keyboard is just fine...but my mouse is whats bothering me.

so my mouse is getting low on batteries, and the red led blinks telling me to charge it. but when i put it in the cradle, the green light turns on (which says it's charging) and about 2 seconds later...goes off...and the red light comes back on and blinks at a faster beat (faster than when it tells me it needs charging.) what does that mean?! it's done that before...long long ago...and i just took out the batteries and put them back in, and it (reset) itself and continued charging. shrug...no idea what fast blinky light means.

What does it mean? Not to be flippant, but I think that's the sign that it's time to get a new mouse.

Google says:
after reading the forums here I tried to "clean the contacts" and swap the batteries around in the mouse...and Voila! blinking red light syndrome is gone!

I would listen to the great google. It frequently speaks the truth.
