Right now I have a diamond Viper II.
I'm thinking of installing a pci video card so that I can run two monitors off my system at once. This helps in flash design...as I can have all my menus on one screen and my actual stage on another. i have this 32 meg creative something or other video card sitting around. I was wondering if installing that card would cause my system to get too hot? I'd then have two 32 meg video cards. All I have is that little fan the system came with, and I just bought a little PC-Slot mounted fan. Do you think that's enough?...or should I beware of too much heat?

It should be fine, but make sure your power supply fan blows the hot air out (not cool air in). ALso try not to constrict the air flow with your cables. Video cards tend to get hot without too much effort--especially if you OC.

i wouldn't worry about it. The only time Video cards tend to really heat up is when your working them. (ie 3d games)
since flash is mostly a cpu intensive app, and only 2d, not much of the work is put on the video cards. |

As hapoo said, I think you'd be fine as long as you don't OC those cards and play hours of intensive 3D games.

Even if you do burn one of the cards, video card is so cheap right now, may as well pick up a GeForce2 MX.
Just kidding. Don't want to see nobody burning their cards. |
