I have a 850 thunderbird on a abit kt7-raid and have already done the pencil procedure to the chip. But my multiplier has a mind of it's own when I try to change it. For example when it's at the stock 8.5x (for the 850 chip) it runs at 8.5x. But if I change the bios setting to 9x or 9.5x... after rebooting, the system runs at 7x and 7.5x. When I put it up to 10.5x, it hangs and I have to pull the motherboard battery to reset it. Don't know why it does that either. My system oc's via the FSB no problem. I read somewhere that someone else was also having the same problem, but I don't if he got a solution to it. Does anybody know of a fix for this? |
