Dell purchase trick

FYI, if anyone's ever looking at a Dell deal on the Small Business website, but you wonder if tomorrows deals may be better, here's a trick that sometimes works. Call a Sales rep and have them put together the configuration you are interested in. Once you get the price tell them you need to look up a few things before you finalize the purchase and ask if they can save the quote for you and you'll call them back tomorrow. You have to get the right rep to you it for you, but if they are willing, they can honor the price tomorrow and then you can see if the deals tomorrow are better or worse before placing your order.

Another tip if you're going to try this - they change their deals on Thursdays

I did this and it worked for me. I had the guy quote me a Vostro 1400 pretty loaded up with the $500 off deal yesterday. Looked at the deals this morning and he same configuration was about $350 more so I called the rep this morning and my orders in at yesterdays price.
