Unlocking the iphone
First, don't worry. I never would. I've been working on it for a friend, and made a mistake. I updated the phone's firmware to 2.0.2, and pretty much every tutorial I can find wants you to have 1.4.0 or something like that. Also, they want you to have itunes 7.5 or so. Since I put the new firmware on the phone, it decides to be rebellious and will not work with anything but itunes 8 (maybe 7.7 too, I can't remember. It was a long night). Anyone have any experience with this? I'm trying to unlock it and get it running with Tmobile. Any help would be GRRRRREEEEEAAAT!

There are a zillion and one sites with instructions on how to do this, but if you already mucked with it, you may be SOL. http://www.modmyifone.com/ is the one I reference most frequently.

You're not out of luck! You can revert the firmware and Itunes. I think ZiPhone is the program to use. But google revert iphone firmware. You'll find it. I did the same thing. Then, to unlock, AND have current iPhone software, you need to search for the unlock program specifically for 2.0 firmware.
