I'm pretty sure most (if not all) smartphones are fully functional on Verizon. It's more the dumbphones that they were locking down.

I'm thinking about rolling hard with the droid this week if no other news of the HTC passion or the sony x10 come out. i have read that black friday should come out with a new android phone for verizon.
