mad onion benchmarks

I cannot find a spot on this forum where people compare their benchmarks from 3dmark2000.

I want to figure out if I should be satisfied with a score of 2000 on a p3 600 with a geforce2 gts. From the scores I found on other sites etc it looks like I need to get in there and do some tweaking.

Of course if that is a score I should be happy with, then its off to gaming! PS I am on win2k, since I am also a developer and need IIS and MYSQL server running.

Well, first off it's not a good score at all. BUT, I have heard that 3DMark 2000 is not optimized for Win 2k. In otherword's you are going to get a bad score running Win 2K but the bad score isn't going to reflect real world performance ie: GAMING! FYI, MadOnion has their own forum where you will get answers. I would expect that your system would be getting anywhere between 4000 and 5000 on Win 98. I get just about 9000 with a GeForce 2 Ultra and a 1.1 ghz T-Bird, the card you have would be getting around 7000 with my setup.

Thanks! I did snoop around on the onion site, and am even now a member so I could post. Couldnt find anything that useful. I suppose I am just more comfortable with these forums. Figured its a post that folks here would be interested in.
