What are the advantages to having 32MB over 64MB Ram on a video card?

depends what you do on your computer. for normal bussiness apps, even 4-8 megs will do. for gaming the more ram the better. Thats where the video card stores textures for the game, so the more ram the bigger the texture it can hold.

the only real differences you see between the 32 and 64 meg cards geforce in particular is better performance at insane resolutions 1280 and up. if you play in 1024 or lower and sometimes even 1152 you see very little performance differences by performance i mean frame rates. However if your planning on running all your games at 1600x1200 get the 64. I would tend to agree with him about being better prepared for the future, but by the time the gts32 is outdated the gf3,4,5? will be out and at a very comparable price. Basically i'm saying do u need that extra edge?
