hello everybody,
has anybody built an MP3 box ? I'm planning on building one...but then i figured, why not use a old laptop instead of purchasing the mobo,ram,blah blah any ideas? |

This was a great idea 2 years ago (hell even i tried to make one) but with all the new decks coming out today its kinda not worth it. Plus I think browsing for songs is a bitch on anything other than a computer, until they set up a good voice recognition system its useless for me. I've actually come up with all the specs for it too but i dont have the time, energy or money to set something like that up.

But if it can be done with stuff he already has, that would be even better. IT would limit the amount of money you would have to spend (you would probably have to get some other stuff).
