Thumbs up

I got a Samsung. It kicks ass. Totally flat and it only cost me $272 BEFORE a $30 rebate.

samsung flat screens are pretty nice i just got a 17, but i kow someone who has a 19, he loves it no problems good color, res, and dot pitch .24 i think. This is going to sound really bad since MAG is the crappiest brand out in my opinion, but my roommate just bought a flat 19in.(w/o asking me first) as much as i hate to say it, it looks great good color res and dp. Although high end brands are quite a bit more expensive and arguably have better quality i really couldn't justify the cost of a viewsonic.

I'll chime in for Samsung.

I've got a 900IFT, perfectly flat screen 19 inch. I haven't found a monitor with a better image for less than twice what I paid for the 900IFT.

It's been flawless.

Damn... I knew it. 2 friends and I went to a Best Buy during the time this was going on and one of my friends was ahead of me in line. He got all finished with getting his "deal" then it was my turn. Well, it was 10 minutes before the time the store closes and I guess that is the time when the MSN servers (for this particular deal, the ones that set up your account.) go down for the night.

So... no deal for me.

I use a 19" Sony G400 Trinitron display. Bought it and still think its worth the $480. No matter what I'm doing the picture is never anything but clear, crisp, and stunning. With many monitors, I notice that I'm staring at the screen, with the G400, I hardly know I'm using it. I've used Viewsonic's flat line and IBM's rebranded Trinitron tubes as well, all work quite well. But if you have the funds, go Sony and never look back.
