Ok, heres my situation... I haev a 440bx board with 128mb PC100 RAM now, and I thought, hey, RAM is dirt cheap, why not snag somemore, as I am gonna be upgrading sometime soon, but I'll end up turning this into a server... So heres my question... I want to get a 256Mb PC100, ECC chip from crucial. The ECC is only $5 more, so I figured why not... Is all ECC registered? If so, my manual says I cannot mix registered and non-registered chips, which means my 128Mb woudld be useless.
So, are they compatible? Or should I just scrap the ECC idea and get normal stuff? |
