I thought logitech was crazy when they said they were going to make a cordless optical mouse. i'm really curious about how long the battery lasts. I have a normal logitech cordless mouse and i replace the battery about every 3 weeks (i recharge the alkalines so they dont last as long, sucks when they leak hehe).

I really want that one hapoo... I have always wondered if it would come out, and using a ps/2 refresh rates around 50-60 are normal.

i've been wanting a cordless optical, and was psyched to see it finally came out. i can't wait til i can afford it. which will be a while, unless i cancel my dsl. but that won't happen. my goal for the summer is to buy the cordless keyboard and optical mouse. it will be great fun having the nifty gadgets i don't really need.

good review darth!

Grrrrrr..... Darth....answer this here please!

Darth,
I heard a while back that Logitech was planning on releasing a "Cordless Ifeel optical Mouseman." Have you heard any word on this, as I love the Ifeel optical mouseman, but would rather have a cordless one. I'd gladly pay the difference in price if the damn thing is coming out any time soon! Thanks and please post back!

Unfortunately there is no news of an iFeel Cordless Optical. There also will most likely not be one as the power consumption would be far too great. You would have to switch batteries like every other day to power that vibration motor and optical sensor. Also evidently the iFeel mouse is not terribly popular.

I think that's Darth's nice, non-biased way of saying, "it sucks".

why dont they just make a recharging cradle for the mouse so you can put it in there over night to recharge.

I really don't understand the need for a cordless mouse... unless you are going to be using your mouse across the room on a big-screen tv, there really isn't a need. If you complain about feeling the cord tugging at your mouse, something is seriously wrong. I guess maybe I have my sensitivity fairy high, so I never need to lift my mouse off of the pad. Enlighten me!

ya just gotta try it. you dont realize how annoying a cord can be untill you get rid of it. I'll never go back. (also really helps if your desk is messy)
