Ok, now i dont want to get into a big debate about why I am going INTEL...I am just curious as to what you think of the 810E chipset.

ok then the 810e sounds good to me....
I'm planing on building 2 small footprint machines to use as servers. Using the case from the 'small foot print pc' that I found for my cousin. 1 box will be a linux machine (slackware) for Firewall/NAT (the machine will be overkill form what its doing) the second box will be a novell 4 server. Just for storage and crap. In reality these are both just excuses to learn a new OS. |

pentium huh? that's too bad... good luck with your new systems. It sounds like a lot of fun what you're doing.

yup, it should be big fun...and cheap too!
about $100 for the 2 cases $40 for 2 floppies and cdroms $80 fro two celron 2 600mhz chips (i only need a p75 for the linux, and even thats more than enough) $100 fro 2 motherboards. $50 for 2 more 128mb sticks (i already have 1 spare 128mb, and a friend is giving me one) I already have the hard drives, NIC's, modems, etc... |

After having 3 i810 based MB's die on me, I have sworn off it for life.
![]() 2 Tyan s2054s and one Toshiba OEM. All three would not post after running a short period of time. The longest was 1 month, the shortest was 2 hours. It may just be my rotten luck but I decided that enough is enough. ![]() |

yeah but since these will be my 3rd and 4th system, I decided that i wanted to go with the super slim case (NLX form Factor).
