I just got my hands on two step-matched PIII Xeon 733mhz processors. I honestly have no idea which motherboards are compatible with these processors or which one I should buy. Can someone help a newbie out with some tips to build a kick ass system around these supposedly good chips?

Well pretty much unless you have lots of funds to work with those procs are close to useless. The board in the case of Xeon is pretty much the most expensive part. But if you want to look, search for Slot 2 motherboards, in the i440 chipsets this was the GX chipset.

From my understanding unless you are running some enterprise exchange server or something the benefits of the extra cache, the main difference in the xeons, are next to nill.
