Exclamation

Ok here's the deal
I am running cusl2-c
p3 733mhz
asus v7700 pure
creative soundblaster live gamer 5.1
with a real TT Golden Orb cooling it all
i bought 2 sticks of ram from OCZ 1 stick of 128 Enhanced and a stick of 256 Enhanced
On the OCZ website they said that the ram would do CL2-2-2 at 150mhz... but win2k won't let me do it.
I have actually never got it to go 222 at 150mhz but i ran at 3-2-2 @ 150mhz using win98se
did i get jewed on the ram or is it that my setup is not letting me run it at 2-2-2 @ 150mhz????
I'd like to know if anyone else has problems with OCZ ram

oh my GOD what is a BIOS?
hehehe
dude i know that
my problem comes in loading windows
win98se will load at 150mhz cl 3-2-2 but win2k just reboots when it starts loading the ntoskrnl
actually even sometimes i get a timing error
BTW the ntoskrnl is the same as will be used in WinXP it's the removal of DOS
have you ever wondered why trying to run dos programs from start:run just causes nothing to happen... win2k is not actually ever running DOS
you can run a command line in a window though

ocz aka The Overclockerz Store has a well deserved poor reputation. I advise people to avoid them and the sites associated with ocz {hardwareoc.com and athlonoc.com}

The PC150 Mushkin ram costs too much and Kingston ram seems to have more compatibility problems than other competitors. If you want to buy some good ram check out here:

God damn... it seemed too good to be true
My question is then why does MadOnion give the OCZ ram such good reviews? How are they using it without problems?

The RAM itself is not bad, but the company is horrible. From what I hear they make pretty good products....they just don't ever send it out when you order it from them.

I don't think this'll stop anything though - the better you idiot-proof a system, the more impressive the idiot becomes.

hey sbp do you own any of that pc166 from PremierSystems? I'm thinking of ordering some ToniCom soon but was wondering how it actually performs.

You said buy Crucial... when in fact Mushkin would have been the way to go... I should have followed JeeEen's advice and bought Mushkin
