Recommendations?

I have the Inwin Q500, should I just get him that one or should I get him something else?

I don't think this'll stop anything though - the better you idiot-proof a system, the more impressive the idiot becomes.

Matters what you're looking for. I'm extremely happy with my YeongYang YY-5402. The case cover kinda sucks (1 piece), but the cooling is practically unbeatable, and definitely unbeatable for the price ($42 plus ship).

It has a 120mm intake, and 120mm exhaust behind the cpu.

I have:

Panaflo 120x38mm 68.9cfm 30db fan up front
JMC 120x25mm 61cfm 26db fan in the rear
Enermax 350watt PS with PCP&C 28cfm, 20dB fan replacing the normal one

It's extremely quiet and the airflow is awesome. If you need cooling and quietness, 120mm fans are definitely the way to go. It works much MUCH better than my old Antec SX1030.
