I have a Pentium III 733Mhz processor with a 133 fsb.
I need a recomendation on a good inexpensive motherboard to use with this CPU. |

i dont know what you consider inexpensive, but in my opinion, the asus p3v4x is one of the best slot 1 mobos out there.

Thanks, I found a solution to my problem. I am using an old board that, after a bios upgrade, I was able to run the cpu underclocked by 25%. It works well enough.

Now that I have some time I will try to bring it up after replacing the pc100 ram with pc133. I think I have a 64mb stick laying around. If it works I will buy more. The motherboard doesn't support 733 Mhz but I'll see what I can get. I just needed to get it up and running before the 5 day return period expired on the CPU (reasonable considering the low, low prices they charge). If something was wrong with the CPU I needed to know. But it was only my motherboard. An Abit BH6. It did realy well with my Celly 300@450.

Well, if you have something to trade for the BH6, something that can run the PIII 733 at 133mhz front side bus and works ok. We could work out a trade.
