I used to have an AT 250watt on my system, which caused my 2 hard drives dvd and burner to constantly crash, finally I bucked up and stole my roomates ATX 300w... Well the system hasn't crashed and is solid...

One problem, before I could hook up dvd audio and video to my big screen, it looked and sounded great, but now a horzontal bar runs up and the screen similar to a refresh
and a horrible av hum comes out of the tv. I tried shorter high quality monster cables, and all it did was make the lines clearer.

I have the H+ card using mini jack and composite any ideas or similar experiences... I plan on getting a new case and power supply but for now...

uh, i have a feeling it's the composite cables... S-video would probably take care of that, unfortunately not everyone has a s-vid tv. also you probably know this, but comp to tv conversion isn't the best.

well, so it seems like you're thinking that it's a problem with the powersupply, no?

Maybe, make sure that it definitely is the power supply that causes it...and if you're sure enough...then, it's probably interference from the PS, maybe the extra power isn't well insulated and is emmiting interference...I could definitely see that being the cause of the hummmm...not too experienced with video to be sure that's the case with the lines...but I figure it would be...

solution: buy a good powersupply, instead of swiping your roomate's

do you have any powerlines running across the cord going to the tv? powerbricks close by? Maybe that monster cable is bad? even if the cable is HQ if u have interference from something it will still do that. got a big unshielded subwoofer sitting around?
