1. Can anyone reference me to an EXCELLENT site on how to overclock my P3 800 EB on an ASUS CUSL2 mobo??
2. I also have a YAMAHA 16x burner, and i've heard to stablize the 16x speed, to load the Plextor firmware for it. Is this true? and can someone reference articles/info about it to me?? Thanks a bunch! |

to overclock a p3 just go into your bios (usually you have to hit 'DELETE' during startup)
change the Front Side Bus to something higher

do NOT use the plextor firmware on a yamaha burner. You can't force it to 16x, because it uses a different kind of reading setup, starting slow and working up to 16x. The technology Plextor uses is more traditional, reading as high as 16x depending on where it is on the disc. Using the firmware could seriously hose up the yamaha, assuming you could even get it to accept it.
It be different if they used the same hardware, but they do not.
