CD burner stopped working- is my burner's number up?
I've burned roughly 150-160 CD's in the past year with my HP 9510i 12x8x32 burner. This morning, I tried burning a CD and it gave me error messages when it started to write, giving a possible solution that the CD-R might be dirty. After making 3 duds, I stopped and I need to know if this thing has run out of juice for burning.
What do you think?

It could be dying, or perhaps your software has gotten a little flaky. Try burning a disc with a different app, or try making a disc with only a small amount of data.

topane was right - it was the burning program I was using. I switched to EZ CD Creator and everything worked. My friend told me that i could get 500-600 burns from my drive, so I'm not in trouble yet.
Thanks! |
