Monitor - Samsung SyncMaster 955DF or 950P? - opinions please?
Which one would be a better monitor to replace my old 15 inch monitor? The price difference between the two is only appx $25. Can you guys give me some opinions.
Thanks, Fuze |

But I could be wrong so lets see what gets posted now. |

I also have the 950P (got a great deal with a Staples coupon and free shipping, which really saves on a 19" monitor). I think the 955DF is supposed to be a little better, but I'm quite happy with what I have, too. So, if the bottom line is the same, I'd get the 955DF, but if the 950P is a good bit cheaper it wouldn't be a bad deal.

I have the 955DF. It is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice. Seriously, price:performance ratio beats any monitor on the market.

I have two 955DF and I have to say I wouldn't have gotten if I had more money. The refresh rate is poor at 1280x1024 (75hz) The monitor at work goes up to like 85hz at that same res. Its not flat but its easier on the eyes. Also, my two monitors are different...One dispays whites cooler while the other is warmer. I've check the settings and they are the same! Weird huh? Anyway, every so often I get some distortion on one of the screens. Like crazy little lines going back and forth. And keep in mind these two monitors where purchased less that 1 year ago.
If you can afford another brand, I'd go with that. If money is an issue, get it. It isn't horrible since its kinda cheap for a flat screen. |

My friend just bought the 955df, he loves it, i think it's one of the best monitors out there, and it doesn't have those stupid little lines. i have the same monitor, just in the 17in. variety and i love it.
get a flat screen though, whatever you do they're worth the money.

My 955DF has no annoying lines or distortion and I run 1600x1200x32bit with 75hz refresh rate. If your have a problem with yours Jihfroce it must be specific to your monitor. My friends also has the 17in version (753DF) and it is an awesome monitor with crisp images.
