BE6-II and WinXP
Has anybody successfully installed WinXP on a BE6-II v1.0 motherboard on its Highpoint 366 ATA/66 controller? My hpt bios version is 1.22. I can't seem to install the latest BIOS for the BE6-II w/ the hpt 1.25 bios because it says my motherboard is not compatible. Please, somebody tell me there is hope and show me the light.
 i have installed it before but it'll work for 2 weeks then just crap out. i installed it again and another 2 weeks it crapped out again. just don't know what else to do now.  |

Seems that there are a few version of the BE6-II. Make sure your getting the correct Bios update. I am pretty sure you have the bios for the BE6-II v2.0 because the older version only supports the HPT 370 BIOSversion 095b. Last edited by billxp : 12-14-2001 at 05:20 PM. |
