ok, this is probably a dumb@$$ question and please don't go crazy on me but, my dvd-rom is mking my dvd's incredibly hot.. is it normal? cause it's almost too hot to handle. If it is a problem you think it might need a fan or something? anyhelp would be appricated. thanks.

depends how long is your dvd drive running. I know that on my dvd drive after i play a movie for over 2 hours the cd is pretty hot but not to a point where I cant touch it.

i wouldn't worry about it. dvds always get hot when played for a while. after all, they've got a laser shining on them and a motor spinnging them around.
