CPU Fan?
What's the best one to get if I was deciding to replace my CPU FAN with a better cooling one?

From what I've seen, most of the "orb" heatsink/fans are not up to par performance-wise with many others. A lot of people like the Thermalright SK6 (but some noise-conscious ears might prefer to use a quieter fan than the jet-engine deltas - I've seen the Thermaltake TT-6025A-2B 28 dBa fan get good marks with the SK6). Of course, that $20 chrome-plated copper job on today's news page sounds pretty interesting.

Dunno... Everything I've heard says that the sk6's are the best you can get, and since you have a choice of the fan you put on, it doesn't have to be loud. As for the orbs, I heard that they were really good for cooling, but a bit heavy... |

Orbs stink. That's the bottom line.
Good for chipset cooling, good for video card cooling....CPUs. No. The Dragon Orb could keep up for a little while....but then LOTS better stuff came out. Like the SK6 or the new alpha heatsink. Get one of those.

Get a delta fan...your case might start flying but it's all good. And the sound is only a few decibles short of a jet engine...but it cools great!!

should I install one of the AMD Processor Spacers in my system or just attach the cooler directly on top of the CPu without any spacer or shim?
