Pioneer 106s 16x Dvd

I just bought the PIONEER 106S 16X DVD from newegg.com and can't get any DVDs to play on my PC. The product didn't come with any disk or software with it. Can you please help!

Okay...

What video card/decoder card do you have?
What DVD player (software) are you using?
Or, just your overall system specifications would be good.

You shouldn't need any software/drivers to come with your DVD drive. The should be picked up by the computer automatically. You really need to give us more information in order for us to help.

Spin up time is fine. Unfortunately these Pioneer DVD-Roms drives are sort of loud.

Yes they do. I prefer slot loading models.

I got my pioneer slot loading 16x dvd drive, and I've been pretty happy with it. I painted it silver to match my computer, changed the light to blue, but it is quite loud...

I believe the 106s is the best choice for a DVD player. Most custom built pc's use it for their comps. I would highly recommend it also.

I agree, but they don't make a slot-loading drive.
