Question Need a cheap dual-display PCI card

Can anyone recommend a cheap dual-display PCI card? I don't need this for games, so it doesn't have to have much memory. Also, this computer doesn't have an AGP slot. Any suggestions? Or suggestions on where to look? I went to Fry's and they had only AGP dual cards.

There is no pci version of the Radeon VE. Going with a Matrox G450 PCI may be way to go.

I agree... Matrox would probably be the way to go.

If you use Windows 98, I think you can just throw another (cheap-arse $19.95 8MB) PCI video card in there and it should be able to handle it. I'm sure someone here has ACTUALLY done this (I have not) but I'm pretty sure it can be done without TOO much fuss.

Dave.

I'm not sure if that will support dual display though. I tried it once, and all I got was the option to use one or the other video card. I don't think you can use them both at the same time though.

Either that, or you need some special software to do it.

Don't try to use Microsoft's dual display. I've researched it, and it's a pain to get two cards that will work, plus you have to mess around with IRQs an' stuff in some cases, or have to shuffle cards, and then have to get Microsloth to accept it. My two cents.
